A cleaner dashboard, smoother on every phone, faster setup

We just spent a marathon week going through every screen in ShiftTrained with one question: would a busy restaurant owner actually understand this at 4pm before a Saturday rush? Here's what changed.
The dashboard got a real refresh
Bigger headings, more breathing room, and color we use on purpose instead of for decoration. Menus are blue, Questions are amber, Quizzes are green, and that same color carries through so you always know where you are. The home screen now walks you through your setup in order, and the next thing you should do literally glows so you're never guessing. We also added a leaderboard snapshot right on the home screen so you can see who's on top without clicking around.
Every action button now has a word under it. View, Edit, Delete, in plain language. Most of the folks running quizzes for their teams aren't software people, and they shouldn't have to be. Same thinking went into the quiz editor, which now has a proper name field you can actually read and edit.
Mobile got serious attention
The phone is where 95% of your staff takes quizzes and where a lot of you manage from, so screens that felt cramped or stuck on a phone got fixed. The Employees screen stacks cleanly now instead of squishing into a sliver. Wide tables let you swipe sideways with a hint that tells you to. Every page jumps back to the top when you navigate, so you land on the heading instead of mid-scroll. And the Community pages got a clear black "Back to Dashboard" bar at the top so nobody feels trapped.
Setup is faster and clearer
New signups now answer 4 fields instead of a wall of them, and your city and state fill in automatically from your ZIP. Loading states show real placeholders instead of a spinning circle. We swept the whole app for jargon, so it says "restaurant" instead of "organization" and gives you a friendly "try again" instead of a raw error code. After your menu finishes processing you get a clear "you're all set, here's your next step" moment instead of wondering if it worked.
None of this changes how ShiftTrained works. It just makes it faster to get in, do the thing, and get back to running your restaurant. That's the whole point.
